Of course we had to go

And check out this place.  Saw in one of our strip malls a new business Crumbl  Cookies! So last night after dinner, we decided to stop by and perhaps buy some cookies for dessert for Thanksgiving.  I was impressed that the place stayed open until midnight!  And that they were continually making cookies when we were there at about 8 p.m.

Here is the menu for the cookies.  The actual cookies themselves.  They rotate what they bake every few days (every 4 days I think if I read it correctly).

I will admit.  They are a bit pricey.  Kind of like those cupcakes you get from specialized cupcake shops.  Each cookie was $3.27 but you could get four for $10.98 which is what we did.

Here's the four we got.  In order from left to right, carrot cake, caramel deluche, molten lava, and chocolate chip.  Hubby got the first two, I got the last two, but we shared bites.

I only ate half of my chocolate chip one last night and finished the rest of it in bits and pieces throughout today.  Got half of the molten lava for dessert tonight after our Thanksgiving meal.

They were all yummy, fantastically delicious, still warm from the oven when we brought them home and kept fresh today.

Its deadly because its about 2 miles from where we live.

And its open until midnight.

But we'll try to show (a little) self control and make it a treat every now and then.

So, the 3 burning questions:

1.  Do you have Crumbl Cookies by you?

2.  How was your Thanksgiving (ours was nice and quiet but fun).

3.  Have you started Christmas decorating yet? (we put the lights up outside, one string; debating how much more decorating I do inside if any).

Next up next week:  Retirement!!! (not mine)

haha with it being so close, you may need that self control quite a bit. Never even heard of such a store up here. Sure there are some though. All christmas lights up here, presents bought, and wrapped. Good to go.

Oh my word, Betty …. my taste buds are going berserk! My choices would be the same as your hubby's. This is sure a novel idea, but I'd never heard of that franchise. I did look it up and there's nothing near us … which, I suppose is a good thing!
Our Thanksgiving (with my son's family) was nice and low-key, too. Decorating? Ya, that might be the key to taking our minds off Tom's health. I KNOW worrying does no good, but sometimes I can't help myself. Have a great weekend!

Well I see there is one in Billings, MT and a whole bunch in Utah so maybe we can try them on our way to Amber and Dylan's. I will put them in my Pinterest places to try. Or we might just have to go to Arizona.
Thanksgiving was wonderful except for the rain there and back from Adam's house.
The mood hasn't hit me yet but Mark just set the tree up and it looks pretty. I'm just not in a hurry this year. I'll get it done at some point! Actually I've been doing some cleaning that I felt needed to be done before I move on to Christmas decorating.

1. No, but we have Insomnia Cookies, which delivers cookies all night. My daughter and SIL used to work the night shift at the hospital and this was a real treat for them. I don't think their flavors are as gourmet as Crumbl.

2. We always host, but our crowd was smaller this year. We had 11 people. It was hectic, but everyone enjoyed.

3. We will start decorating tomorrow.

They do look delicious, but Not near us methinks.
We had a quiet 'two for lunch at Perkins' this year. I loves sitting across from my sweetie on special occasions. We are thankful we still have each other. I am the luckiest guy in the world.

Cookies aren't up there on my list of must halves. I wonder if I could part with that much money for a cookie, let along four. Past that, my Thanksgiving was lovely.

I have not heard of that place. I did hear of a pop up cookie shop that just opened locally, but nothing like this place. Now, if you could just walk to it, that would be the reward for getting out for a good walk.

Never heard of Crumbl, but I did go to White's bakery the other day. It's about a 40 minute ride from here, and since I am gluten free I can not eat much but the chocolate covered strawberries. Here's the kicker though, they sit on a chocolate cup filled with vanilla custard. They are seriously HEAVEN at 3.29 each.

I bought 2.

Thanksgiving was good. Thankfully Mum lets me come over in my jammies and sleep on her recliner while the hubs makes me a plate of turkey because I am too sick to move. I am currently circling the drain of a Nyquil/ginger infused tea bottom. *sigh*

Christmas tree is up, decorated, and most of the gifts are bought. Our last hold out is Bonus Son (my step son) because he potentially ahs some big changes happening in January (can't jinx it) and anything we buy him would have to be kept in storage anyways since he's currently residing in our basement. Which reminds me that I need to get the check from him for the storage unit...

We have a few really nice and also a bit pricey bakeries but not a special cookie one like that. Maybe they stay open that late for pregnant ladies who might just have a craving for one of those yummy cookies! I blogged about our Thanksgiving we had on Sunday that turned out not so great but yesterday a couple of our boys stopped by and we had a quiet dinner with them. Today we shopped and I put away all my Fall and Thanksgiving decor in preparation for my Christmas decorating this weekend. I'm on call tomorrow and I'm hoping for that to be a quiet surgery day! Have a good weekend!

The cookies are tantalizing! Hope they open one in our neck of the woods.

Glad your Thanksgiving was nice and quiet but fun.

Have a great weekend, Betty.

A bit pricey, but they look pretty big, so as a desert reasonable.

No Crumbl Cookie here but I like the sounds of the shop. We went to Savannah, GA to have Thanksgiving with our older daughter and her family. Her husband smoked a turkey and it was fantastic. It will be hard to beat. We made pumpkin pie and pecan pie for dessert. I have decorated some inside - 2 trees and a staircase. I will work on my mantle when I get home from Savannah.

OH NO! Not in Portland yet ... but warm cookies are my downfall!

They look so delicious! Thankfully, this place is not anywhere near here :)

The cookies look good.
I had a nice Thanksgiving. My family came to my place and I cooked a big turkey dinner. My dad is 86 and still with us so I'm thankful for that.

I haven't started decorating yet but I am this week.

We have lots of cupcake shops (and yes they are pricey for ONE cupcake!) but no cookie places. There's just the Great American Cookie store in the mall, but they are waaaay over priced so we rarely go there.

No Cookie place near me thank goodness. I am a cookie monster so having one nearby wouldn't be good. I had a small Thanksgiving and it was nice. Quick! A lot of leftover. And, no, I haven't started decorating. I've lost that mojo too.

I do not have one of the stores near my house- but the cookies sound like a nice treat! I would have a hard time controlling myself if they were near me and open until midnight. I had a nice and very quiet Thanksgiving and I did decorate for Christmas. :)

Never heard of those cookies but they look delicious. Our Thanksgiving was hectic and crowded and exhausting, but the family gets along and love being together so it was wonderful.

...That is one of the touches about Omaha I have found lacking... back in the Motor, I would have taken you to the Astoria Bakery and let you sample their wares... I wonder how much it would cost to have your bakery ship their goods to Omaha..?

I have never heard of this chain and hope it stays far away from where I live to save my diet!
