Z'Tejas Southwestern Grill

A/Z - Sights and Sites of Arizona

Z -  Z'Tejas Southwestern Grill

And now we are at the end of A/Z.  What a wild month it has been.

I hope you have enjoyed visiting Arizona on my blog.

What better way to relax but with a delicious dinner at.......

Hubby had the peppercorn steak, choice of rib eye or fillet; hubby got fillet (delicious)

I had the Santa Fe chicken enchiladas (delicious)

They also serve cornbread as an appetizer. Proceeds from it go to different local charities. This month's was a Marine organization. It was only $3.00 for the cornbread and for a worthy cause, who could resist?

Every year when I finish the A/Z challenge I always "swear" "never again" but then I usually get the "bug" in me to do it again. We'll see if this is the last one I do or not, though over dinner tonight I did mention several ideas for letters for next year and hubby came up with a few ideas himself. I have to give him thanks, he is a big help with taking pictures, driving me here and there to get what I'm looking for, and helping me with those tough letters when I'm a bit stumped.

I do thank all the visitors who came, but especially thank my faithful readers who read and commented daily. Thank you!!

I loved getting to know you more through questions you answered.

Now back to my regular posting schedule of about once a week. And boy do I have some stories to share.........

stay tuned!!!

You brought the food, I have the music, let's have a celebration :) Congrats on completing another challenge! I have enjoyed your posts. You showed me places in Arizona I haven't seen before, it is a state full of variety! I'm looking forward to reading about your new home in Phoenix.

Loved this final post. Oh to have a slice of that cornbread right now. But your know, Whole 30 and all, I have to pass for now! I am happy we have made it to the end. If I do this again I need to plan in advance. It was a ride for sure! I tried to visit as many of the blogs as I could. I find so much about this challenge to be both exhilarating and frustrating. I have made a few new friends (exhilarating). I am so beyond frustrated with the things that are wrong with the challenge: hard to comment, people who don't even start, those who just up and quit without a good-bye, all the comments I left in all the places without anyone coming to pay me a visit in return....yet I keep coming back!! That is why it is called a challenge!!

I have enjoyed the tour of Arizona very much, and now I want to return in REAL LIFE to see more. I love the idea of the restaurant serving one dish for charity. That is GREAT and more restaurants should do that.

This is my 5th year with A-Z. I think I'm done. Right now I can't think of anything new based on genealogy. But anyway . . . Congratulations on surviving another challenge!

Congrats on finishing! As I've said before you make a wonderful tour guide.
I have to say, Betty, one of the things I counted and looked forward to each morning were your comments on my posts. They are always thoughtful, kind and most important encouraging.
I'll meet you on the bench next time you have a sit :)

Those plates look yummy, indeed. Z'Tejas used to be our 'go-to' spot for special occasions; not so much now we're so far away.

Can't wait to learn what's been going on 'behind the scenes'!
From the smile behind yours words, I bet it's all GOOD :)

Betty, what a great way to end the challenge - over a nice meal at a Z named restaurant. It can't get more perfect than that.

I enjoyed seeing the sights of AZ with you and hearing the great stories. The pictures were a great highlight to your posts. Well done!

You know you really want to do this again next year. And what a great husband you have to come up with ideas for some of the letters for you.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog daily. I appreciate all your comments.

I look forward to reading your new stories now.

Congrats on finishing the challenge. You've made me want to visit Arizona. I mean I always wanted to, but now I really do. I love your final post and now my mouth is watering for some cornbread. It looks so delicious. Southern girls love cornbread.

So, you did it again? I could never pull that off. Thanks for stoppy by, Betty.

josna said...

My mouth is watering too! But it's only about 2000 miles away. My husband, son, and I did a cross-country road trip in 2004, and in the Southwest we tried chile rellenos in every city and town where we stopped to eat. I should have taken photos. . .
Congratulations for finishing the A-Z Challenge in style!

This has been especially fun since the family and I just visited Arizona.

Congratulations on completing the A to Z again. I decided not to do it this year and regret that decision so I'm definitely up for it again next year.

I've enjoyed seeing your posts about Arizona. It's a fascinating state with lots to see. The food looks good too!

Came late to your blog via the A to Z Challenge but I'm catching up! Some great pictures here. Yes, the A to Z is quite time-consuming but for someone like me with a brain all over the place, it's good for self-discipline. Good luck for next year!

Congrats on your challenge completion. Now I see your theme, I wish I had been following you from the start. I have a friend in Arizona but I know nothing about the state, apart from the fact my grandparents lived there until they died. Now I may have to go back and check out your A-Z. But I may have to rest up for a bit. ;)
Thanks for stopping over at my blog. :)

A lot of folks say never again at the end of each Challenge, but then they come back after a year of rest. How can you resist? You did great. Congratulations on making it to Z.

I've eaten in a lot of restaurants in the Phoenix area, but never this one that I can remember. I'll have to keep it in mind as it looks really good. Since my sister moved away from Chandler we always just fly by on our way to Houston, but we usually stop in Chandler for a quick lunch. Maybe next time we stop and we're craving Mexican food we can look for this restaurant.

I think I would have picked the peppercorn steak, too! It looks scrumptious! But I'd go there for the cornbread alone! Southern chicks love corn-pone, you know.
