things that go on

Just things going on.

Have you ever looked in the freezer and wondered what this was that was frozen in a Tupperware container and when you go to open the container, you still don't remember what it was that you froze? Happened today.  I am defrosting such a container just to see what it was.  It may be the sauce of a dish I made in the crockpot a few months ago that I thought would be a good soup base.  Or it may remain a mystery.

Has your eye ever twitched and you think it is twitching so wildly that everyone 10 miles away will see it but when you look in the mirror, it is barely discernible? Yep, happened to me today. Drives me crazy.  Don't even know why it does it, but it does at times.

Have you ever wondered how fast this year went?  Yep, happened to me today. How can we be at the end part of September already? Three months from today and it will be Christmas. How can that be?

Have you ever considered how OCD a corgi is? He definitely has his routines and continues to develop them.  Lately his newest routine has been wanting out between 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. as well as 9:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. to lie on our back patio.  I absolutely have no idea how he knows timing, but he sure does. He certainly knows when it is time to eat.

Changes could be happening in the next 6 weeks or so. I'll let you know.  Could involve a major shifting around of living arrangements.  Don't you just love a cliffhanger?

Sweet that the pup knows the clock. Love a cliffhanger, for sure. Will stay posted to your blog for more details.

I am too lazy to mark my Tupperware, so YES that happens to me often. The eye twitch thing is so annoying!

YES I have most definitely forgotten what it was I had put in the freezer before. And it's even worse when thawing it out doesn't reveal an answer LOL

I've had those things happen to me too. Forgotten what in a container and the eye twitching. I really think the twitch was caused by eye strain from too many hours at the computer though.I don't think it's happened at all since I retired. You really have left me hanging and wondering what changes are coming your way. Hopefully good ones for sure !

My freezer is empty.

Koda sounds content - hope he enjoys lying out on the patio.

Hanging on to the cliff by my fingernails!!!

Dodger is like Koda....he knows his routine and doesn't like it to change. I'll be interested to hear what your changes will be.

Like last book you read, left kinda hanging.(I might not be surprised per a previous dinner post). Know what you mean about the twitching. Funny Koda's routine, like clockwork.

I paid the federal taxes for work yesterday and realized it was the last time I'd check off third quarter; it's October in a few days. Tempus fugit.

Flying by indeed. Nothing at all in my freezer, so I have no problem discerning air haha they sure do know their routine. Oh, moving around at your sea? Good luck with that.

Getting set in his ways...I might be part corgi!

Dogs know timing! There is no doubt about it. Every night Chase knows when it's time to go to bed (he takes himself upstairs). He knows if you've missed his feeding time, and he wakes us up on Saturday mornings at 5 a.m. just as if it were a weekday.

I had to clean out the fridge when I was a kid and my mom told me to smell it to see if it was too old. I once smelled bad ham. Since that nose defying event, I refuse to even look inside a container-out it goes-green and all:) I am with you about Christmas being only 3 months away-we just celebrated it? I think aliens have abducted me and I have lost time-that is my defense. My dog knows time just like yours-I wonder how they know this...amazing

That is why I stopped putting things in tupperware in the freezer. Now I use freezer bags and write on them. Date them too. Rarely do I use what I put in them though so I don't know why I bother to freeze leftovers......can't wait for your cliff hanger to be revealed

My eye twitched for three days once. I had a boss whose eyes twitched when she was mad. I would make a quick escape if they started...

My dog acts OCD and she's not a Corgi. I think it means they know they have us trained! As for eye twitching--I've always heard that's a sign of stress...

No, I hate cliffhangers.

I just recently went into the freezer because I thought the dish was some mac and cheese, but it turned out to be stuffing from Thanksgiving. Sigh.

You're so cute, Betty! I can sure relate to the frozen food! Years ago, when my "ex's" mom would visit from Florida she'd be cooking up a storm and stockpiling in our deep freeze, lest we starve. One year there were LOTS of turkey tetrazzini casseroles - which neither of us cared much for. Anyway, we soon forgot about them; then a couple years later she came to visit and we had to play the 'guess what this used to be' game. Oops.

Can't wait to hear your big reveal. Is that a smile I'm feeling behind your words?

Yes to the container of mystery, yes to the twitch, and YES (NO) I do love the cliff hanger. We B waiting.

Love from this side of our world...

Haven't had too many unknowns in the freezer - but that's mostly because I don't really cook. But, once I discovered a *fuzzball* in a cabinet that turned out to be a little pumpkin left over from the year before!! (Took a while to figure that out, believe me...yuck!)

Eye twitch? Yup.

It's 2014 already?? HA!

Koda - what a nut! Marty has some very particular "opinions" on certain things, too!

And, cliffhanger? Oh Betty, can't wait to know!

Oh, and my answer was yes to everything ...

Ooh, I love cliffhangers. I'll be waiting to see what the shift is.

Yes, I've experienced all those things except the one about corgis. Since I don't have one ...

It's weird how he knows the exact time!

COGI is a great dog.

Ziggy seems to have schedules also. Recently he has taken to the living room sofa. Rarely does anyone sit there. But it helps him see out the front window. He has rearranged his space by hurling the pillows on the floor.

We have a small freezer in the garage that has many of those containers lurking inside..I just need to get cracking and get rid of them! I'll look forward to the end of your mystery soon! Have a good week!

Veronica Lee said...

That freezer thing always happens to me. Besides, some things are frozen beyond recognition! Looks like it's time to clear out my freezer.

Can't wait to see what the shift is!

Grammy Staffy said...

Yes... I'm always forgetting what I have frozen... I don't know why I don't label things better????
I do love a cliffhanger..... what are you up to???
Thanks for your blog support. I always appreciate your comments. Have a good week.

Secret Agent Woman said...

Yes. And then I vow to start labeling things. And then forget to do that.

Waiting for the rest of the story...

netablogs said...

I think there should be pre-labelled freezer bags or containers. That would make things so much easier! I don't know why I don't take the time to label everything, after all these years. It's not like I don't know better..! Funny how that is such a common problem!
Looking forward to hearing about your changes!

Our pups know when it's time to eat! :) I'm guessing your living arrangements may involve your son. :)
Time is going by so fast, too fast!
Happy days to you!
hugs,
Marie

Wow, that is a cliffhanger!!! Yes this year is going way too fast for me. Koda is liking the cool morning and evening air. Yes to the Tupperware in the freezer and that twitching eye. Debby

Juli G said...

Well, if no one else commented the eye twitch thing (for me anyway) is dehydration and lack of sleep.

So while you're gearing up for the cliffhanger, try and get in a good nap. Course, that's my advice for everything. :)

Betty W said...

Well I certainly hope the changes will be for the better for you. I missed you Betty and will try to catch up on what is happening in your life.

Grammy Staffy said...

Hello again. Thanks for your kind comment today. You are very thoughtful. Hugs, Lura

I have done a few of those things. No matter the situation know that I'm praying for the best for you guys!!

Kat said...

Oh you are sassy! Quite the tease with your cliffhanger!

The eye twitching. YES. I had that once that lasted for an entire weekend. It was SO annoying. I'm told it is from stress.

And yes. Time is always flying by. Too quickly. Far too quickly.

The Brown Recluse said...

Ding dang cliffhangers! haha

I am convinced that when the ole eye begins to twitch, all can see it. It's a weird feeling..and sometimes, other muscles do it, too.

This year has flown by!! CanNOT believe it's mid October!! Good grief! Wasn't it March just 5 weeks ago?

(I'd be afraid to know what's in my freezer in a few of those containers...)
