Vows

A/Z

V - vows

There are a lot of weddings that we have seen either taking place or being set up as we have walked Koda.  This wedding had just happened when we were driving by.

I purposedly didn't get too close so that their faces would not be distinguishable on here out of privacy for them.  This was taken about 6 weeks ago.

Here's another one from Thursday, 4/24.  Hubby took these pictures when he was walking Koda.

There were some other shots he got that showed the preparations better, but had people's faces in them so out of respect for their privacy I went with the far away shots

Think it would be fun to get married with such a view behind you?

Of course it can be a bit iffy with the weather to plan an outside wedding.

I am here on time tonight... I like this one. Love is an amazing thing. If nurtured with the fervor of some wedding plans, it can last for ever. I used a quote in one of my books by a friend who said, "I hope you have planned your marriage with the same thought as you put into your wedding."
Great thought VOWS, and I would not have associated it with the walk, but of course I can see it now. (MY hind sight is very good!) Love from North carolina.

Love all the outdoor weddings. the scenery is perfect where you are for such an event. I hope they all live happily ever after.

We went to one of those beach weddings over a year ago. It went on even in the rain and was beautiful. The bride was very late, but no one seemed to care. I was there with my camera taking pictures of it all and have an album of the wedding on my Facebook page.

Betty,

I wrote about weddings too for my V post! Personally I prefer a church wedding but the scenery is indeed a beautiful setting for the weddings you've captured in your photos.

We see weddings on Lake Michigan as well. Last year I walked by this beautiful, yet simple setup. At the time, I hoped the missing wedding coordinator noticed the dead fish near the seating. Eww.

A lovely backdrop for wedding vows. But I also wouldn't chance it with the weather.

We thought about a beach wedding. But didn’t want to chance the weather. My son and his now ex-wife had a beautiful sunset beach wedding.
So, the girl was a beautiful bride, but not such a lovely wife.

It would be a beautiful spot for a wedding for sure. We can only hope their marriage turns out just as beautiful as the way it started.

Thanks for sharing all your pictures of San Diego. It is one of my favorite places and your pictures are beautiful. I can't wait to go back to visit.

I've seen a handful of weddings take place at the beach and it always looks lovely, even if the weather itself isn't so great. If it's cloudy and the waves are churned up a bit, it gives the wedding a wild feel. :)

Seems like a hopping marriage spot. I'd rather just elope and forget the fuss haha

That could be a great location for a wedding if, as you say, you had a backup plan for bad weather. My first wedding was in a church, my second in my home. I've never done the outdoor thing. Maybe we'll renew our vows that way someday :)

Daughter part of beach wedding in Dominican Republic tomorrow. Beautiful but I imagine hard to hear unless a sound system. I've got their kitty for the week! Setting not too important to me, more so the commitment.

Been to two outside weddings and in both cases they were lucky with the weather. Don't think I would have stayed in the rain.

Beautiful site for weddings, that is for sure!

Koda is so lucky to have a park with this kind of lawn to walk on--mine are stuck with either baked clay or sand. Which is its own kind of fun, but I'd love to see them run on grass. Wonder what their reaction would be :)

this is beautiful! It is lovely to get married outside. My friend got married 10 yrs ago in Punta Cana and it was beautiful and my wedding(to my ex) was outside and it was lovely but you never know with the weather. The day before was rainy and cold for July but the day of my wedding was beautiful and warm-perfect

My son and his new wife chose to get married up here in the mountains last year. And though they got married in our church, they had several photos taken outside. The trees and the crisp, clear blue sky made for some spectacular pictures.

I especially liked the ones that were taken around our house.

The next week it rained like cats and dogs! God's perfect timing - we were grateful!!

It was perfect weather for them, wasn't it! Beautiful sky!

I think it would be so nice to get married with that view...but the wind... I have a feeling it's one of those things that sounds good in theory, but in the middle of it, you think, "Maybe this wasn't such a good idea!"

That is a pretty view and congratulation to the new couple.

It is a very lovely view for a wedding. A couple on a budget could hire a priest or judge to do a small ceremony there, and it would be a world class wedding.

Both my weddings were outside and beautiful. One was on the waterfront, the other was in a gazebo at the train station (I swear it was beautiful).

Funniest part, the second (to Tony) was the day before a hurricane. It was the most beautiful day of the week... literally the calm before the storm.

What a perfect place to get married! My sister married her husband on a beach like this, and it was a lovely little ceremony. I think your pictures are excellent, they capture the moment without being intrusive. Great post!

What a beautiful wedding spot. No wonder so many couples choose it.

Beautiful spot. How clever of you to pick vow for v. I would not have thought of vows where you walk Koda

Awesome thought. But I wonder if they've a 'Plan B' in the event of weather?

I think the loveliest wedding I ever attended took place in a wooded area at dawn. So neat seeing rays of new sun shining down through the canopy of trees as they exchanged vows.

Love what Jack said about people putting as much thought into the marriage as they do the wedding!

Lol, I don't know...

Ya I don't like to show peoples faces when I take pictures that are going to be put up on my blog.

What a beautiful view for a wedding! But, I'm too chicken to plan a wedding outside. Weather is just too unpredictable.

What a beautiful spot for weddings!
My son is getting married in an outdoor setting in a couple weeks. His bride would love to be at this beachside. Instead they will marry in a park setting, as we are landlocked, but then will whisk away to a honeymoon on the beach.

I like outdoor weddings... I got married outdoors to hubby... I've attended a wedding at lover's point in Monterey... Getting married right on the beach would be messy but oh so perfect... :)
