two

Almost done with A to Z

T - Two

Two orange cones "shooting the breeze."  Any thoughts what they might be saying?

T is also for tents.  People will set up tents like this or tents like for camping.

In fact this past weekend with it being Easter, this area was "packed" with families enjoying their time together.  Tents were all over the place and not much spare area between "camp sites".

Speaking of camping, have you camped in tents? Honestly, I never have (and probably never will :)

(and do come back for U; probably the most unusual sight I saw down there, but that's not what U stands for :)

The last time my Aunt Florence who lived in San Diego, who was also my godmother visited, I was a teenager, we had a beach picnic, under an awning type tent like those in the photo.

I've gone camping, and slept in tents on and off all my life. It's been years since the last time, and I no longer am limber enough to sleep with only a sleeping bag between me and the hard ground. But I always enjoyed it when I did.

Have camped in tents and popup campers. Loved it, but not my husband can't help set up so we got rid of the last popup camper.

No, but I almost did, in my houses backyard, and that was the night that a tree fell on my tent during a severe thunderstorm. My little sister thought that she had saw a tornado! : )

Yes, I have camped in a tent. I wouldn't recommend it. The ground is hard! I never liked camping, and only did it because is was a Girl Scout thing.

Betty,

It's been many years since I last went camping. My idea of a perfect holiday includes a bit of luxury like a comfortable bed and electricity for my hairdryer!

My girls were very keen to go camping. They got the opportunity to go camping several years ago, at Easter, which is autumn for us. They headed inland and were so surprised how cold it got overnight. They couldn't sleep because they just weren't warm enough, despite their good quality sleeping bags. They haven't asked to go camping since that experience!

Those tents in your photo are obviously providing shelter from the sun. The weather looks beautiful!

I bet the one cone is telling the other one, "Now isn't that one fine looking dog?," while pointing out (in the armless cone way) Koda as he ambles by. The other cone is replying, "Oh yes indeedy! But I hope he doesn't pee on us!"

I used to camp a lot - it has been years now though.

I slept outside one night in a tent as part of a summer camp experience. Actually, I was awake the whole night because it was awful.

Those cones are obviously on a break, waiting for their next assignment.

I have never even thought about tenting. I like my creature comforts too much, I guess.

Cute pictures of those two cones side by side. We see those cones everywhere. I even have one at the end of my street. Not sure at all why. Nope, I've never camped in a tent. I'm all about comfort.

My childhood was one of annual vacations, sleeping in tents. My brothers pitched and folded, but I had to do my own sleeping on an air mattress that didn't last the night.

Sleeping in a tent is on my chuck-it list.

Done the tent thing once as a kid, never again, sleeping on dirt isn't for me.

"Hey Gus?" "huh? What?" "You're in my space-stop crowding me".-ok my feeble attempt:) Oh I have spent many a times in a tent including a 2 man pup tent-setting it up in the rain, family of skunks going by, hearing racoons outside. Ever try to dress in a 2 man pup tent? It isn't easy

Tents, tables, chairs, terrific weather, and not a person in sight! Funny, sometimes I'm just waiting for a person to move out of the frame and other times wishing someone with a cute dog would walk by.

I enjoyed a little camping when I was younger. I just like running water and privacy too much since then.

"Well, that gig's over, what's next for us" on cones protecting filled in wet cement from broken back post. Just a guess. :)

No I have never camped in a tent. And I am like you, I probably never will. Just doesn't sound like my kind of fun. The view, even with the tents, is still beautiful

I had to camp in a tent when I was a Girl Scout as a kid. It rained...and people thought it was funny to put their fingers on the inside of the tent because it made it leak inside. So all of my stuff got soaked. That was my last outdoor camping adventure!

We go camping just about every summer and always in a tent... except last year when we gave teepee camping a try. I think I prefer the tents ;)

I've been camping, years ago when it was all we could afford as students. I didn't particularly enjoy the experience (although the other parts of the holiday were brilliant!) and have never done it since. I can just about put up with caravan holidays but really prefer to rent a cottage or stay in a hotel. I like my home comforts!

Liked the Bijoux comment. Haha

My husband likes the sound of "flush in the night."

Ha! Those two cones really do look like they are talking. Cute.
I have camped in tents. Many times. That is how we would vacation when I was a kid. I haven't done it since I was maybe 20 years old or so. I imagine it would not be quite as comfortable sleeping on the ground as an adult. ;)

I have tent camped several times. It was fun but it is very hard work so that is why we rent cabins now!

Yes I have camped in a tent many times. Our family camps on the Snake River in Wyoming every year to river raft. We had a 5th wheel trailer but John did not want to pull it all the way to Wyoming so we took a tent. A few years ago we gave that trailer to our daughter who lives in Utah. Now they take it to the river. We slept in it a few times instead of taking our tent. However since I broke all of my ribs 3 years ago I have a hard time getting comfortable. My hubby decided we should stay in a motel now. That is what we did last year. The motel is nice but I miss the camping. It gets into your blood.
Cant wait to see your U post.

I haven't camped since I was a kid. The last time was probably in 10th grade where we took a two week field trip through the Australian outback. We stayed in hotels for a few nights but most nights it was in a lovely green tent.

What a beautiful view!

I used to camp in tents with when I was a Girl Scout, but other than that I've always camped in a camper.

Love the tents! (and the cones...the color contrasted nicely, didn't it?)

I've camped many times in tents! Of course, what would you expect from an Alabama girl? I've even camped in a tent in my beloved Great Smoky Mountains! Florida, too...but that's a whole different blog.

I've slept in tents as a kid (Girl Scouts, backyard camping, other camp experiences) but I haven't been in one as an adult. I went camping and floating down the river a couple years ago, but I stayed in a cabin - with a nice soft bed.
