Quiet

Perhaps a unique Q for A/Z

Q - Quiet

A sailboat without a motor, being quiet as it is returning to port after a day out at sea.

I'm not sure I would enjoy sailing in such a small boat on such a big ocean.  What about you?

(be sure to come back on Monday for R; it is a very interesting one I do believe)

And Happy Easter to you all.

Luke 24:5-6  In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead?  He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’ ”

Death had no hold on him, the grave could not hold him.

He is risen.

He is risen indeed.

Quiet is part of my post today as well. Quiet is what I crave. I would get on that quiet sailboat and sail away....Happy Easter to you as well

YES HE IS RISEN!!!!
I have thought often of sailing a 'QUIET' boat, I never have. I even suggested it to my Sherry and she says, "Okay, as long as I can see land." So she is on your side.
Shucks, GIRLS!

Love from North Carolina and we hope you have a wonderful Easter Sunday..

Quiet on a vast sea sounds like just the ticket. HAPPY EASTER!

I was going to do quiet, but I did "empty classroom" and they would have been the same picture.

I actually went on the ocean in a small boat. Well, I guess it was larger than that. With the local Boy Scout troop (I was in Girl Scouts at the time). It was fun.

Quiet was my theme for Q a well. The sailboat is pretty to look at from the vantage point of the beach, but I prefer walking along the ocean rather than sailing upon it.

I like quiet and that is why I prefer small lakes to oceans. I prefer kayaks to motor boats. Yes, I find solace in quiet.
Enjoy your weekend.

I have a neglected Kayak that I used to enjoy.

Quiet is very important to me . . . a requirement for a new home.

Happy Easter to you, Betty.

Quiet is who I am. My Q word from last year’s A-Z.

The sail boat looks peaceful now on calm waters, but I’m not sure the boat would be quiet on rough seas.
I’ll watch from the bench :)

I love to watch the sailboats out on the water, but am not much of a boater at all. It is quiet and very peaceful just to sit and take in the view. I hope you have a wonderful Easter too!

Yes, He is risen indeed.

I think that being quiet near water is the very best of all. I like hearing the waves hit the beach.

Happy Easter!

Quiet--yes it must have been so quiet after the cross before the Hallelujah of Easter.

That does look a little scary! My husband likes to kayak fish and it always scares me a little, him being out there on the lake in a small boat with all those big boats around.

Not sure I would want to go on one in the ocean, a lake maybe. R is for umm rats, rabies, rabbits, ringworm? Hmm I'm out lol

On reflection, I think some of my happiest moments have been spent on the water!

I've only been on a sailing vessel once in my life, out of Miami. Quiet, yes -- but I can't say it was very peaceful: I was too preoccupaied about what might go wrong -- 2 of the 3 of us aboard knew NOTHING about sails!

Have a blessed Easter, my friend!

I would find more peace and quiet watching the sailboats. Only one has walked on water, among other miracles, that I've heard of. Have a blessed Easter.

You are almost done with the alphabet and I have hardly commented at all. You have been very creative and diligent to post regularly. My husband and I are going to share a computer for a while - - - and most everything is almost transferred over to his.

No ocean sailing for me. I remember when Mark and my BIL Bob sailed with a very small sailboat on a small lake in Illinois. It was not a fun experience for them!!!
Happy Easter

What a lovely and serene picture. I prefer to watch than sail though. I'm a weirdo who thinks humans were meant to keep their feet on solid ground! lol

Great photo. You live in such a beautiful area.

Gorgeous!
We've owned a few pontoon boats and love spending the day on the water. I've never been on a sailboat but would be game to one day.

Betty,

Quiet is such an appropriate word for Holy Saturday as we waited to celebrate the Resurrection. It is now Easter Sunday here. I hope you are having a very blessed day. Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! That looks so calm and as long as I am with someone experienced, I would be ok:)

Sorry Betty, I deleted the comment 'cos I typed in Simone instead of your name! Dang Blogger! It doesn't have an edit option!

Have a nice day!

I love it when it is quiet. I don't think I would like to be on the open sea in a boat that small as I have watched "The Perfect Storm" and "Deadliest Catch" one too many times. Happy Easter to you as well!

Love, love, love the words of this post! He is risen, indeed!

My BIL has a sailboat. I rarely go on it because there are times when the wind gusts turn that thing almost sideways and I am looking at the water. "It won't turn over," he says. Yeah. And the Titanic wouldn't sink.
