auto

Ready, set, go for a month of A to Z.  My theme as I stated before was pictures taken from the place where we like to walk Koda down by the marina.  Some of the pictures were taken during actual walks, some of them were taken when we would take Koda for his weekend car rides down to that part of town (yes, he is that spoiled).

A - auto

A child's toy auto, parked by the side of the road.  Never saw the child, but sure looked like a nice car to be able to drive around the sidwalks.

I like the color, very bright yellow indeed.

Car clubs like to come down to this part of the boat dock/marina and "show off" their vehicles.  Sometimes they'll have picnics there.  Sometimes they'll take over the whole parking lot with all their cars on display.  Lots of classics then to look at.

What was your first auto you bought? (Mine was a 1976 yellow Dodge Colt).

Hi! Just checking in from the A-Z Challenge.
My first car was a 1965 VW bug, purchased new in Alabama. It had what we called "manual air conditioning," as we had to roll the window down for relief from the heat.

Fun start with your A-Auto! 1978 Buick Skylark, we bought from husband's grandmother. But most remember driving my grandfather's old (guessing late 60's)tan (seemed huge) Pontiac. Looking forward to Friday night car shows this summer.

Mine was a 1973 Buick Riviera. The prettiest car I ever had. Sadly it went with the first husband when we divorced. He knew how much I loved it! I like your A to Z theme!

Mine was a yellow Renault 5. Since I bought it in 1977 or 78 it must have been new in 73 or so. I loved that car! I called it Napoleon. Only car I've had with a proper name. :)

That child's toy car is so cute. I'd never have guessed that was a toy when I saw the picture. I am going to be enjoying your A-Z posts for sure!

I'm officially 'in love' with that wee yellow auto ... some tyke is mighty fortunate! (My imagination's probably working overtime, but I'm guessing a doting grandpa is behind the scenes.)

OK, my first-first car was a bright-red Rambler station wagon ... can you say, NERD mobile -- that my parents bought me in '67. But the first car I ever bought myself was a used 'Vette - huge mistake. It totally defined the term, 'lemon'!

Love that kids car! Well my dad bought be an older VW but I didn't want it. My very first new car was a 69 1/2 Maverick in red. Funny thing is I don't car much for red cars...

That's a pretty cool kids car. Wish I had one of those back in the day!

I've never actually owned a car and barely ever drove. I did get my license about 10 yrs ago, but I didn't feel confident enough in myself or my instructor to continue driving. And then I moved to NJ where the roads are just too crowded for an inexperienced driver with ADD/anxiety to risk getting behind the wheel :(

I am a life long pedestrian and bicyclists and do not have much interest in driving myself, but I do like some of the cute aquamarine sports cars from the 1960's. I spotted one going down the road today, and thought it looked quite cute. I think it would be fun to do a nostalgic photo shoot, and glad you had fun taking pictures of the old cars.

Fun post! I'm here from the A to Z as well.

My first car was a 1991 blue Chevette. I married a guy who had a grey Chevette--how romantic, huh? Two young college kids with equally bad taste and low budgets.

1968 Chevelle, which I bought for $200 when I was 16. That was all the money I had and I needed to be able to get to work.

Oh lawsy! Mine was an orange gremlin when I was 16 years old! I was "The Orange Blossom Special." What can I say? It got me and my friends where we wanted to go!

We have those old car get-togethers here, too. Ole Boy seems to know the make/model/year of every one of them, too! Me? Not so much. Give me a new car!

I know some little kids who would love, love, love that little car!

The first auto I had was a 1972 Mercury Capri. It had a stick shift, and I STILL miss that car! I drove way too fast in it, but enjoyed every second. I finally sold it in 1980 or 1981 to a 16 year-old boy. It was going to be his first car. I sobbed the day it got driven away.

Great memories!

I could have a complete car show by myself. I don't even know how many there are.
But my first was a '78/'79 Ford Pinto wagon. My dad's friend put it together and painted it metallic blue with lots of chrome.

I honestly don't see the excitement in looking at old cars! The first car that I bought on my own was a Ford, but I don't even remember the model! The first car I had (that my dad got for me) was a Dodge Omni.
