he didn't make the list, sigh

So I saw on the opening screen on AOL what were the top 10 breeds of most popular dogs in 2013 from the American Kennel Club.

According to the article, these are the top 10 breeds:

Labrador Retrievers, German Shepherds, Golden Retrievers, Beagles, Bulldogs, Yorkshire Terriers, Boxers, Poodles, Rottweilers and Dachshunds.

As you can see, corgis aren't on the list.

Sigh, he didn't make it.  He also didn't make the list of the 10 smartest dog breeds a few years back.

I don't get it.

He's cute, he's lovable, he's spoiled, but I guess just not popular (to others, but always popular to us)

On other news:

1.  Virus (computer) fixed.  Hubby got virus software protection and installed it through safe mode on the computer. Wiped that virus out plus the other 30 viruses and threats I had on my computer.  Its Chrome, Blogger, or Gamepoint.  No one else on their computers had threats/viruses except for mine and I'm exclusively on those sites, no one else.

2.  For a variety of reasons, we decided to switch car insurance this year.  We had Geico, but decided to look elsewhere.  Let's just say after what we found for insurance that 15 minutes doesn't necessarily save 15%.  (Same coverage).  We went with the auto club, much less expensive.

3.  Its Super Bowl Sunday (except I realize I've been typing it some places Super Bowel Sunday -- you know where I spend 40 hours of my week, LOL).  Seattle versus Broncos.  Rooting for either one of them, or just going to watch the game for the commercials? I'm for Seattle, hubby is for Denver.  Not die hard fans for either team, but a little competition, LOL.  Either way, I hope it is a good close game and no one gets hurt.

And tomorrow is February! Where did January go?

Glad that virus is fixed. I'm with you on the super bowl. However, I couldn't have named who is playing, so I am way worse.

Glad to see February, it's that much closer to spring. And we need all the warmth we can get. Enjoy the Superbowl. I agree it's a mistake not to put corgis on the list.

A new month is good. The edge of my desk calendar is pretty ratty by the end of a month.

I think if you polled your readers, Corgi's would do very well. :)

I'm glad you got your computer taken care of!

I've been saying Stupor Bowl. I'm thinking Super Bowel might be more like it... LOL.

Just proves Corgis are more unique! Glad virus zapped and photos and all are safe. Happy Groundhog Day tomorrow, brrr, only 6 weeks till spring! Hear marijuana being highlighted by some t-shirt makers, both Super Bowl team's states are legal. What a waste that I hope doesn't spread. Decker a former MN Gopher, so, Go Colorado!

Glad the virus is fixed now. :) Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. They really mean a lot.

Have a great weekend!

I'm not at all sad to say goodbye to January. Hello! February. Your little corgi is adorable and I don't know how he missed being on the lists. Glad your computer is all sorted out. Hopefully it'll stay that way now. I may watch a little of the game but I'm not really a football fan so don't know who I'd root for. May the best team win.

Since Dodger is of "unknown heritage" he will never make any favorites list, but we know who our favorites are, don't we? I'm actually surprised Corgis weren't on the list. There are lots of them around here.
Glad you got things sorted out with your computer.
Go Broncos!

Google chrome likes to sneak viruses and spyware on there, so it was probably that. How rude the pup didn't make the list. I already watched most of the superbowl commercials, so no need to watch that lol

Oh. I thought the Super Bowl already happened.

Well Skye didn't make it either :(
So you didn't have any software virus system on your computer? Interesting about the Auto Club, we should check them out. Well we are going to cheer on the Bronco's here but for no particular reason and I am definitely there for the commercials. Enjoy!

It is good to hear the VIRUS is whipped. WE had GEICO years ago and never checked around. Now I have learned that "TWMC" doesn't mean a thing (By the way TWMC, just made it up, Time with My Company. LOL). Years ago it did, but with computers we really have just become a number.

Anyway Good to hear from the bench and Koda gets my VOTE!

Love you lady!!!

Don't be so sure the Corgi isn't so popular. Everyone who has ever seen a Corgi (and especially when they are puppies) loves them. What AKC says is not pure gold ... just sayin' . My little Mini Aussie runs in agility and there are a lot of Corgi's in the field ... and they are smart. Again ... AKC, can be wrong. You know how polls are ... it depends on how you word it and who you ask. I know in my area Corgis are a favorite.

I have spent many years as a football fan and watched a lot of Super Bowls (My favorite wss the 1985 Bears), but now I am to the point that the only draw is watching the commercials. My favorite is usually the Budweiser Clydsdales. I am following the battle of the QB's though ... that could make it interesting:) Enjoy and may the best team win!

Well, Koda, even though Marty's beagle buddies made the list, in our hearts - YOU are still a popular guy!!

Glad to hear that your computer is on the mend - love hearing from you in Blog Land!

And, I am a HUGE Peyton Manning fan, so I will be rooting for Denver tomorrow. (Sorry, Betty)

I just love Corgi's - do do I count? And my dog did not get on it either but I happen to think he is great!!!!!!!!!!!!! And smart.

What virus protector did you get?

What car insurance - we have Geico and would not mind to save some money! What is auto club?

I hope you are having a great weekend!

Love, sandie

That's good, I am glad that you got your computer fixed!

I would definitely put corgi's in the top ten and would definitely put Koda in 1st out of the top ten corgi's....

I was never really much of a football fan, but I might watch! I heard there was going to be snow!

So glad you got rid of the viruses- hate those things! And our puppy, a blue heeler, was on a list I saw for the smartest breeds. Maybe not every decision he makes, though, would wind up on that list. We're watching the Super Bowl today- hubs for the game and me for the commercials.

Dachshunds are my fave, though I don't have the patience for a pet. I'm so happy January is over!

Glad your virus is gone!

Mutts never make a list either except for maybe Heinz 57. LOL Our pets have all been strays - - most of them are non-specific breeds. They generally have been very grateful to have a home. My husband will watch the game but isn't real excited about it. I don't care a thing about football. I know the strategy is what intrigues many people but all I can see are people who are going to have wicked arthritis later in life or concussions very soon. Just something weird about my outlook I guess. However there will be a lot of people getting together tonight to have good fun while watching and that's a good thing!

Corgis are adorable! You have the cutest!!!
We will be eating pizza and wings tonight. :) I'm watching for the commercials. :)

... I think that the anti-Corgi vote skewed the polls..! I think Corgi's are cute..!

Seattle is going to win... I had picked them before the blowout began and I have to remember to be a good sport tomorrow at work..!

Glad you're now virus free, don't forget to run that anti virus program every month or so.
January opened up that little side door and slipped into history.

Jen Forbes said...

Sorry about the dog, the decision is only as good as the people making them remember :)
The funny thing about anti-virus programs, even the best ones aren't %100. Thank goodness your husband fixed it himself for the cost of a new program. I got a stupid rootkit virus, had to take it to the computer guy, cost me over $100 for him to remove it.
As far as the Broncos, tell hubby I sympathize!! What a horrible game :(

Awwww Koda is in a league all of his own... So glad the computer is fixed and all is well... Super Bowel... lol... Have a great week! :)

I just took one of those silly quiz thingies on FB a little while ago to find out what dog breed I would be and I got a corgi. :) I thought of you right away. :)

I don't know how a best breed could even be picked. All dogs are awesome. And, sometimes, I think the mutts are the sweetest. :)

Sorry the game wasn't closer - what a snooze!

Glad your computer is fixed.

I've never been impressed with the popular dog list. Emma and Duke (as far as we know) are Boxer Mixes, and they're definitely popular in our house. :-)
