of ospreys and corgis

Remember those books "Where's Waldo" where you were supposed to find Waldo in each of the pictures? Anyone spot the corgi in this picture?

Yep, we are still dealing with clutter, half of that is being married to a musician, LOL. Koda is sleeping against one of hubby's amps.  Obviously hubby was not home otherwise Koda would have been glued to his side. He definitely likes hubby more than me (unless food is involved).

I never get tired of looking at these birds.  This is one of two osprey nests we know of in the area. The other one is close to where we usually walk Koda down by the ocean.  That one the birds built the nest on top of a telephone pole.  This one I do believe the platform was built for them by someone for their nest.

They are magnificent looking birds.

Tired tonight.  Time change. I'm sure you all feel the same as our bodies adjust. I like the light in the evening but losing that hour of sleep is hard.

Had hospitality at church today (that's where we provide snacks for fellowship time). We did a lot of baking for it yesterday (hubby and me). Made a coffee cake, cheesecake brownies, and two trays of brownies plus the other usual stuff I set out, cheese, crackers, pepperoni, salami, chips, Goldfish, grapes, bananas, etc. Lots of walking keeping things replenished.

I'm not as young as I used to be.

Sure enjoyed that 2 hour nap this afternoon.

Did you have a good weekend?

I worked Saturday morning for 4 hours, plus I had already put in 5 ten hour days, then Louie and I spent the day together running around. Sunday after he left for a meeting, I tore my fabric stash out of my basement closet and washed the wall in there from some long ago mildew damage. I took a nap from 2:30 til 6! When hubby got home from his meeting, he painted the two walls for me! :) I tossed and turned most of the night, and now it's time to start the Monday cycle again.

Thank you sweet Jesus for my job and for your loving care. Please ignore the Monday morning grumblings. As soon as I wake up, I'll be smiling again!

Have a great week, Betty!

Ospreys look fascinting...I've never seen nests that large! We had a good weekend...loving the break of warmer weather...promise of spring to come!

Yeah the time change is rough on us all, especially the more age we seem to have. Found waldo too!

I'm always surprised that the dogs, who can't tell time, wake up for breakfast at the right time to eat! I adjust fast to the time change so no problem. I love the sleeping dog and beautiful bird photos.

That's pretty cool that there was a platform built for them to nest in. I see kots of Great blue heron nests but ave yet to spot any of the eagles I see flying around actually sitting in a nest.

Everyone is feeling the time change for sure. I don't really think I ever get used to it and it feels so good to get back to normal in the fall. But I do love the idea of nicer and warmer weather, so I'll suffer through. We have rain instead of snow here this morning. A sure sign that it's warmer out. Hope you have a great Monday!

It's much harder to wake up my son for school now that the time has changed. It's pitch-black outside at his 6:30 wake-up time. I'm not sure he really believed me this morning when I insisted it was the right time to get up!

I hope you have a wonderful week. ☺

Sounds like quite the weekend. But it is nice to be busy with something that is serving others.
I know how you feel about the dog loving your hubby more. Mine is the same way. Kinda makes me jealous. :)

Koda and the ospreys make any picture look terrific.

I'm glad you had a nap. I did, too, yesterday, for the first time in a very long time, and it felt great!

Would we spot Koda there if hubby was playing guitar! Beautiful osprey. Bit tougher getting up in morning, being darker. Went to & watched on tv lots of boys hockey- state tourney time. Next up basketball.

Glad a nap fit into your busy schedule. Happy (1st) Monday Day Off!!!

I like the idea of the photo, Find Koda. Cute idea for a photo.
Had a good weekend here. We are headed for Spring it seems and we will be headed North, not far, but North.
Love the Osprey, they are a stately, strong bird.
((HUGS)) from out here on the other coast.

That's a lot of food for hospitality! We only provide hot beverages and water. I know a few people bring in treats, but I always feel like most people don't need the extra calories. I'm a grinch that way

I've never seen an osprey. Very majestic bird!

Our sky was that blue over the weekend, too. Lovely weather to be out in. Except for the afternoon nap.

I found the corgi - disguised as a carpet sausage.

I see ospreys when I visit OC, and they truly are magnificent birds. Never seen them in their nest before though - so I loved your photo!

Yes, the time change always gets me a bit *jet-lagged* - but I also enjoy the longer hours of sunlight.

Had a great weekend in the snow. Went to church with my husband, then out to breakfast and some local shopping. Doesn't get much better than that!!

GOD BLESS!

Skye likes Mark more than me :( Sometimes she walks into my office and was obviously looking for him, turns around and leaves!!! My heart sinks a little bit. They have platforms for birds on several posts in Florida. I don't know a lot about osprey's. That is a very nice spread you put out. How sweet that your husband helps you.

Clutter is rampant here. Our cats blend right in too. Never have seen an osprey in person. they look fascinating.

Seems to me things are going well. Koda is like Disco - he loves Kelly - I am last.

Those nests are really wonderful to be able to watch and see what happens.

And you and your hubby cooking together for church is sweet. I do know what you mean about not being as young as we once were. Things are harder now.

The time change has me messed up! Glad you had your nap.

Hi Betty! I always loved Where's Waldo books. Koda needs a red & white striped shirt and a beanie hat like the one Waldo always wears!

The time change messes with me too. Takes me a few days to get used to it.

We have some Osprey here in Southern PA too. They are so cool to watch. We also have the same nesting boxes. You got some good photos of the Osprey!

I had a guy I worked with that looked just like Waldo

First off, you can walk to the beach? Wow, am I jealous! Secondly, I am still feeling the effects of the time change today! I so badly wanted a nap but did not have the time so I had to take a drink of my isagenix energy drink to help me get going and make it through my busy day!

I am exhausted today!! Didn't think to blame it on time change ;) It really is harder the older we get, isn't it? Love the Osprey picture. I have never seen one before. Great picture.
I know what you mean about the Corgi. Our little Shi Tzu is the same, except she prefers me. At my feet or on the couch beside me all day long. We are having a little struggle with her right now because she wants to sleep in our room and we don't want her to. She was at the foot of our bed this morning. On the floor.

The ospreys look gorgeous - would be so much fun to get to see them.

Blessings to you for your baking and hospitality for your church.

Seriously Though said...

home baked items at a hospitality table just makes the worship service so much more homey feeling to me.

We had a great weekend but, like everyone else, that time change was a killer! I had to get up early Monday morning on top of it.

Koda looks might comfortable there!

Have a great rest of the week, Betty!

Yeah, I'd rather play "Where's the Corgi" than "Where's Waldo".

At least I can find the corgi...

Hi betty...yes, I saw your little "corgi bundle" on the carpet...

How I wish I could enjoy a walk on the beach with you!

I am looking forward to Spring...even if it brings puffy eyes and sneezing...I love the longer days of sunlight...

I had my sister from CA visiting me for a week while my hubby was in Mexico on his annual trip. My sister got an allergy attack while here. I took care of her and we relaxed and enjoyed one another's company. We drove back to CA together for her son's wife's baby shower, then visited my Mom for four days and helped her with her "to do" list.

This past Tuesday, my husband picked me up on his way home. I've been doing laundry and unpacking. My oldest daughter is expecting her third son the end of this month or the first of April. I must pack a suitcase and leave it sit until she calls me so I can drive the four hours to get there as soon as I can.

My youngest daughter is getting married in July so I have lots of CA trips planned...

Blessings to you and your family...your baking goodies sound delicious.

Ospreys are magnificent looking birds...like eagles!

That time change nearly kicked my butt. Usually I adapt just fine. This time has been hard.

You made a veritable smorgasbord for fellowship time! Sounds wonderful!
