last Saturday of October

Participating in Cate's Six Word Saturday; I haven't played in a bit.  Here's my 6 words:

NOT MUCH TO SAY, ALL'S WELL

I realize its been over a week since I wrote a blog entry, but not much to say because all is well, just status quo I guess.

We do have a bit of hot weather this weekend in a weather condition called a Santa Ana.  It is dry hot air with the propensity for high winds.  Makes fire department people a bit nervous with the high winds as fires that start can quickly get out of control and burn lots of acres and houses in very short periods of time.

Otherwise, work is going fine. Koda is fine. He still looks in his crate for cookiesWe randomly reward him with them and we say "the cookie fairy paid a visit". I think he's catching on to that phrase. He's too funny, but you all know that.

A little over a week to the presidential election. I'll be glad when it is over.  This site lists their 10 commandments about the upcoming election, basically to pray for both candidates, respect other's points of views, be educated on the issues, etc.  Very insightful information on how to conduct ourselves in the next few days before election day.

Regardless of who becomes president, I know this to be true.

I don't know who to give the credit to for making this graphic, I found it here and she didn't know who had created it.

Regardless, in my opinion it is the truth, no matter who made it.

Anyway, all's well, enjoying fall (but not the shorter days) and can't believe next week we change the time back!

Have great Saturdays; as always thank you so much for taking the time to read my entries; you guys are the best!

Your opinion is mine as well.

Koda is too funny- you should create a little Koda book~

I think I might have said it before, but just in case...I so MISS the Santa Ana winds (not the fires). All that fresh high desert air.
Here in Indiana, winds almost always bring rain.

So glad you are all doing well! Like you I'll be glad when the election is over. I already have made my decision just waiting to election day to vote I could vote early but chose to wait and be a part of the BIG DAY!! I know...silly!! LOL

Any time we can say all is well I think we are saying a lot.

We had those Santa Ana winds when I grew up in Santa Ana Calif. They would blow me to school! (:>)

Now living in another windy place...Wichita Ks. area. It seems I can't escape the wind! ha! It does remind me of the power of God!

I also loved living close to the beach. I love to watch the ocean rolling back and forth...displaying God's power!

And I agree with your reminder...that King Jesus is on the Throne!

Happy Saturday!

Ordinary days to me are the best! I have had many reasons to appreciate things being status quo. I am praying for this election as well as our current president and government officials. The good Lord knows they could use all the help they can get. Hope your last Saturday of October is a super one!

All is well here too. It took a while for me to get an inspiration today because even though it is raining and there is a prediction for a fallout from Sandy we are content.

Sounds like things are good.
HOpe you have a great weekend Betty.

Knew I'd get here! I like Obama (as much as you can like a politician, anyway, but I won't hold that against him).
Glad all is well in your neck of the woods.

Good to "see" you again, Betty! I like that term about the "cookie fairy" paying Koda a visit.
Caraleigh always gets her treat when we come home: I'll ask, "Are you ready for your paycheck?". (She doesn't guard the house for free, ya know!)
Have a delightful weekend!

My six words?

Forgive my absence in Blog Land.

I'm sorry it's been so long since I've commented on a post, Betty. TIme has been crazy-fast lately as I continue to settle in my new home.

Thank you for all the behind-the-scenes support you have given me. You'll never know how much I have appreciated your words, your time, and your dear friendship.

GOD BLESS!

Happy to hear from you and glad that all is well. Our winds haven't been too bad but I never like them. Least favorite part Oct. thru May in California. I always choose rain over Santa Ana winds :) Have a nice weekend.

The cookie fairy--LOL! Love it!

I'll be glad when the election is over so I can stop getting phone calls every time I turn around. We're not even a swing state! I already voted by mail weeks ago. Now it's just wait and see.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Things being the same is a good thing. :)

We passed thru once during the Santa Anna winds. It was a treat for us Southeasterners to see the tumble weeds piling up and then allowing some to jump high fences.

but to the post, always love to come here. I have tried to come up with something like you have, "A Bench with a View". I love the idea and think it says a lot, you have done well.
Glad all is going well, with all y'all.
Love from this side of the country!!!

Being able to say all is good is a blessing. I am with you about the election, nothing happens that God does not allow to happen, I trust in his plan for us. I am going to early vote and hope its not crowded, me and this belly of mine can't stand for too long!! Otherwise, I'd prefer to take part in the big day as well!

Glad everything is rocking along without turbulent waves right now for you all - - - dog's health included in that. It has been an uneventful week for us, too. I like that.
I like that slogan you have about Jesus being King no matter who is president! I admire anyone who wants to run for that office because of the harassment they get from the press with the biased reporting. My only consolation when my husband has the TV blaring with commentators is those "reporting" have to stand before Jesus one day, too. They will know what truth is at that point if they don't learn it before!!!

Glad all is well with you and yours Betty. Love your graphic, pretty much says it all :)

Love that graphic! Glad all is well with you. I'm with you, I'll be so glad when this election is over. I'm praying for everyone's freedom. We need a BIG change from what we have now! :) I'll be early voting this week at the election office.
Hope you have a nice rest of the weekend!

All is well is good! I agree with you about wanting the election to be over with. The nastiness keeps getting worse and worse.

I was at the top of Burial Hill today, waiting for our 5K to start and saw a bench with a view of the harbor you would have just loved.

At some point, I'll have a picture up.

Great statement indeed! Jesus is King, and all's well is the way it is with Jesus as King, isn't it.

That's a good status to have. The status quo should not be underrated :)

Sometimes a patient will come in and say something like, "Well, not much to tell, everything's been going along okay." I always say, "That's good!"

It is good to hear that all is well... means that everyone, from Koda to Hubby and No.1 Son is doing well... and let's include our favorite Betty (next to apple brown Betty w/vanilla ice cream!) is doing well too..!

Great advice. I always send a little prayer before elections that the right candidate wins (even if I vote the wrong way). Kind of lets me off the hook, too, just in case.

I love status quo! I know what you mean about the election - I pray the right man wins. sandie

Me too. Whomever God wants in the White House...that's who I want. Your badge states who's ultimately in charge anyway. Love that!

I haven't done SWS in forever!

It is COLD here! I'm ready for spring....but, I don't want to give up Thanksgiving, Christmas, NY and my birthday to get spring early!!

The election...I'm just weary with it all. I think it's vitally important, the choice America makes, but like you, I know that Jesus is King, no matter what.
