Today is?

Anyone else having trouble remembering this is Thursday? I had to work yesterday, which is okay, but afterwards we barbequed a nice meal and had an enjoyable evening together. When I had finished work for the day and we started "celebrating" it felt like Saturday when I finish work for the week. I had to remind myself that I needed to get up and "go" to work today (I have such a long commute.....that's a joke).

I'm still not sure what day it is. Thursday. And usually trash runs on Thursday here but it got bumped back one day because of the Fourth, so that will confuse me when tomorrow I hear the trash trucks.

So what day do you think today is? And did you have a nice Fourth?

Yesterday felt like Saturday, so I guess today ought to feel like Sunday ... but obviously it's not, because if it were, we'd be at church right now. ;-) We had a very quiet 4th ... I would have liked to have BBQd yesterday, but we've got a ban on outdoor burning (including BBQ grills). We used our George Foreman grill ... just not quite the same. :-(

I JUST got finished having this same conversation with my trainer at the gym! So glad I am not the only one.

We, too, had a great 4th. Topped it off by sitting in our yard, with only the natural full moonlight around (we live in a very rural area), and watching a spectacular fireworks show from a Navy base about 10 miles away. To me, though, the moon was even more brilliant.

All day yesterday I thought it was Saturday. I think I'm okay with today being Thursday, but if I come into work on Saturday thinking it is Wednesday, I'll let you know!

You are right-these mid-week holidays can throw us off course on our journey through the week. I'm glad you had a good holiday. We usually have lots of gets shooting fireworks around here, but not this year, thank goodness. It seems like the police really got their point across on the fireworks ban.

Oh I totally forget about recycle day...I was wondering why they were here on Thurs??...so funny, I'll be confused tomorrow too for trash pick up, which will really happen on SAT...

I have not lost a day because of the holiday but man, the mid-week party did wear on me and I am gassed today!! But Flat Ruthie, KT and I are determined to make it to the Museum tomorrow and the world-famous Henry Doorly Zoo!! After that, I think she will have seen as much of Omaha as she needs to see and will be off to her next adventure!!

I think I remembered it was Thursday this morning lol. However, I did not remember I had a doctor's appointment! Luckily I remembered an hour before.

LOL! Ya yesterday felt like Sunday to me because my dad didn't go to work and he sometimes doesn't open on Sundays.

Uh-oh, really?? I was going to take out the trash yesterday but, I thought maybe they already came because I didn't see anyone's trash out. I hope not because they would mean I missed two days, actually three because I missed that one also... Lol! My mind was on the ducks. : )

As a general rule, if I'm confused about the day I go find something that will tell me (both y mobile phone and computer can do this for me). Saves a lot of "what day is it?" ponderings.

I was sure today was Friday or a while though. I heard a big vehicle outside and thought, "Oh no! It's Friday and we didn't put the rubbish out!" (Friday is rubbish/garbage day here). Then I realized it was a street cleaner, and - by now confused as to what day and time it was - I checked my phone and learned it was Thursday.

Having a weird sleeping pattern doesn't help with knowing the day, because I have to figure out if it's morning or evening, then which day it's morning or evening of. I think if I didn't have the technology to check the day, I'd have to just guess and hope for the best, or find someone to ask. I wonder how long it would take before my neighbours got fed up of being asked what day it was?

For the past 2 weeks I've had trouble remembering which day it was. Being at the camper does that big time. Now I'm home again so maybe I'll remember that tomorrow is going to be Friday. Hope your Thursday is a wonderful one!

I agree--today felt like it should be Sunday. The holidays throw us all off. ;) Have a good day--whatever day you think it is--LOL! ;)

My husband and I were fortunate to have the last half of the week off. Actually he is off all week. When you work Textiles, traditionally those plants shut down July 4th week. We are soooooo enjoying this time that is flying by - - and will have difficulty getting in the work mindset on Monday!!!

I'm having a hard time keeping up with what day it is also!! Glad you got to enjoy some of the holiday!!

It was too hot to celebrate the 4th, so we just watched it on TV! Today feels like Friday to me... wishful thinking maybe?

Have a wonderful rest of the day!

Now I don't feel like such a lone ranger!
Most of the day, I kept making references to my co-workers about "last week" ... and they'd have to remind me I meant Monday.
Glad to hear you were able to enjoy a nice meal last night -- we love to stay home and BBQ as well.

Love the view in your banner. Since I'm retired I have a hard time telling what day it is most all the time.

Thanks for commenting on my blog, I always enjoy meeting new bloggers.

I had a hard time remembering yesterday was Thursday, and for some reason realizing today is Friday is really confusing. I definitely do not like the holiday in the middle of the week!

Ha - yes!
I said the same thing.
In fact I almost put the garbage out on the curb
yesterday morning thinking it was Monday.
But at least we woke up to a Friday today.
:)

Glad you had a nice fourth!

With the fourth in the middle of the week, I was so loopy I had to look at the calendar!

Having that Weds. Holiday threw all of us off around here. It just felt like Monday all day long. But...it also felt like we got two weekends that way, too.

I was pretty sick on the fourth....
