Buenos Dias

I rarely put a song/video on my blog because I know a lot of times people don't have time to listen to something. I have to admit 9/10 times if someone has a video or song on their blog, I'll just listen to a bit of it or say I'll come back later and listen and then I never get around to do it.

But...........

this is a special video because it contains my hubby and his brother performing the music

My hubby wrote the song, but he called it "A Good Day". His version of it is a bit slower, not as jazzed up. His brother liked the song and rearranged it a bit and renamed it Buenos Dias.

Hubby and his brother have been playing guitar for over 50 years (not combined, but individually, so I guess combined would be over 100 years). They really are quite good (touch bias here I know :)

Anyway, hubby's brother's wife took the pictures from their visit to the Mission Inn in Riverside; I just drove by it one time; it looked really cool and at Christmas they decorate it a lot. We'll have to go there sometime. I know it is a favorite of Debby's.

Anyway, the song is close to four minutes long. I don't expect anyone to listen to the whole thing. But take a few seconds and listen if you want. I think you might like it. Let me know what you think.

Goodness! ... I meant to "sample", but was hooked right away. Their instrumentation and these pictures? More, please? :)

PS - Just a thought, but wonder if the folks at Mission Inn wouldn't want to purchase the rights to this for marketing purposes.

Thank you so much! I loved the photos, but especially the music. I was hoping to see them personally performing, but enjoyed it even though I didn't see them.

Wonderful toe/finger tapping music! Only listened to song 3 times. Can see why it's called "A Good Day" or "Buenos Dias". Neat photos, too. Hope you get there soon.

You cannot listen to that song and not get happy!
It makes me want to sip frozen somethings on a beach in Mexico.
Excellent! I can even imagine it at a slower pace for outside dining or an online brochure for a resort. Can he submit it to someone?

First, it is a quick, peaceful 4 minutes (it is actually a little short, but who is counting?). Man, both your hubby and BIL are very talented!! They still have time, energy and more importantly, the talent, to get into a studio and find work as a musician!! This is really good stuff and does justice to the pictures. Have they considered doing some local ads or something?? I mean, they could be studio/soundtrack musicians!!

I had no trouble listening to this upbeat and beautifully played music. I've been feeling a little homesick for southern California (grew up in La Mirada during the 50's and 60's) and this just put the icing on the cake (or the nail in the coffin - which ever way you want to look at it). The bougainvilleas - we had them growing up and over our front porch roof. Lovely.
