me

Finally, a honest to goodness picture

of me

well, me

seven years ago

35 pounds ago

little less gray

but still me

Found this picture when I was going through the over 2800 pictures

downloaded onto this computer recently

this was taken in North Dakota summer of 2005

I liked how I looked then

Not sure how I like how I look these days

carrying those extra 35 pounds

and a little more gray hair

But this picture gives me motivation

Motivation to get back on the diet and exercise wagon

Been tweaking this and tweaking that with what I eat

and how I move my body

I hope to get the 35 pounds off by December 1, 2012

or close to that

because I plan to post a current picture of me then

no matter what weight I'm at

Wish me luck

and come back December 1, 2012 and see how I do

(of course you can come back between now and then :)

Happy pic! I wonder if you're saying "Take the picture already!!" That would be me! ;)

I'm interested to know where this pic was taken?

As for the weight loss, I understand. I hate it that a few extra lbs pack on so easily and it's so hard to lose them! You sound determined to lose those 35 lbs; I will definitely be one of your cheerleaders!

Nice picture! You look great!

LOL! I've been trying to get more pounds. I've been the same weight since when I was around 13 years old.

Can't wait to see the new picture, you can do it, good luck! : )

I know that after working behind a desk for many years, I put on a lot of extra poundage. Still now that I'm older I don't do diets but don't gain any more weight either, just stay the same so I'm happy just to be me. I wish you success though. Eat healthy and stay healthy, being slim isn't everything. I did enjoy your picture today. Your smiling face is beautiful.

You look adorable..! I am sure that you will get to your desired weight... plenty of half-hour to an hour walks and no late-night snacking along with substituting fruits for other treats will move you along your way...

Koda sure has a pretty 'Mom' and Son does too..!

I hate pictures for the same reason. I've tried this week to get back on the diet wagon, but I keep falling off. Weight is so hard. Good luck to you and thanks for sharing yourself!

Keep us posted on how it goes, and for goodness sake tell me about anything that works for you!

They make this amazing stuff called hair dye if those grays bother you. I let my hair go gray and really didn't like it, so....

Good luck with removing the extra 30! My best of intentions keep attacking the same 8. It is so frustrating!

Thanks for posting the picture. Woohoo!

I just knew that would be what you look like. Your writing expresses you to a T. That smile of yours is priceless. You just ooze Gods Grace with that smile. So happy to meet you. Gracie

By the way, I love the pictures you post. I think photography is your calling.

Well, well well! Nice looking young lady. Looking forward to December this year, but of course will stop by with every alert, which I look forward to.
Good goal, you can do it.

Beautiful vacation shot of you and nice Midwest background, too! (Even prettier than in tiny photo). I can only image what avoiding chips (my main food group) would do for me (chips=hips should be on my cupboard door).

Gray adds character, and just wait, so will wrinkles.

Be healthy, you'll make your goal!

Love this pic Betty! You look so young and I love the wind in your hair. I know you can do it (the weight loss)! YOu have been such an encouragement to me and I hope to be it to you too. It's good to set a goal, and work toward it. If you don't reach it, you just keep going. I hope to reach my goal weight this year too and am glad to have you on this journey together!

I found you! I have missed reading your blog. Between June 13, 2011 and Dec.31, 2011 I lost 45 lbs. With all the things going on with life I was on hold since then until now. I am back on track. One of the primary supports I have found is Beth Moore's book, "Praying God's Word Breaking Free From Spiritual Strongholds." There are many outstanding chapters. Not every chapter fits into everyone's life. However, one of the chapters is "Overcoming Food Related Strongholds."

You were thin in that picture, so I'm guessing that the extra 35 pounds makes you look fabulous!!!

Good picture and good goal. I know you can get those lbs off by your goal. I've been working on the same thing. It's tough some days, but worth it for the health benefits. Not to mention so much more fun to clothes shop.

Embrace the gray hair - I'm sure you've earned every one of them! :)

You are beautiful Ms Betty not because of your weight loss but losing weight would definitely make you a healthier person. Our exchange of emails done not so long ago was a pleasant surprise on may part. You were very helpful, thoughtful and I know that your goodness is all over this blog as you continue to write entries and inspire people...

Weight loss is a lifestyle. I am also wanting to lose some pounds due to some health problems in the past. We can do this together if we put our minds and hearts on it! God bless you more :)
